If you have received an error number on the app, please locate it below and click for troubleshooting.

Error 453: Alignment Failure

The dock could not align with the robot enough to allow nozzle extension. This will happen after multiple docking alignment attempts have been made.

  • Uninstall the Pad Wash Roller that is in the dock. Place it back in, left side first to ensure it is properly installed.

  • Verify that the bin is installed properly
  • Push the port on the bin to confirm it can move
  • Check the nozzle housing on the dock to make sure it's not obstructed
  • There are two buttons on the dock that lift the charging contacts up. The robots wheel would normally press these buttons when docked correctly. If the button is triggered, the charging contact should spring up. Press that button with your finger. The button should move up and down freely. It should not remain stuck in a pressed position.
  • Before trying to refill again, please reboot the robot and the dock. Unplug the dock for a couple of seconds and plug it back in.

Error 461: Robot Tank level Not Increasing

This error is also known as "Air pressure build-up on nozzle tube":

The tank level on the dock is decreasing, so the dock knows that fluid is being pumped. However, the robot is not showing that the fluid level is increasing. This may mean that the fluid is spilling outside of the robot during refill.

  • Remove the Robot's bin/tank
  • Clean any liquid that is present on the dock ramp
  • Reinstall the robot's tank and make sure the robot is sitting properly on the dock
  • Remove the Dock’s clear water tank
  • Important: Make sure the clear water tank is filled to the maximum line
  • In the app, click "Pad and Dock Control" and choose “Rinse pad wash System”. This will flush out any debris in the pad wash basin.
  • Reinstall the dock tank and try refilling again

If the issue persists, try refilling again, but this time tilt the dock backward 45 degrees. If this works, you won't have to tilt it again; the tube should be filled with water, eliminating the error.

The error may appear again if you leave the dock tank emptied for long periods of time.

Error 511: Dirty Water Dock Tank Level Sensor Issue

The sensor for the dirty water tank in the dock is having an issue. The fluid level within the tank cannot be determined. We must know if more dirty liquid can be drawn into the tank or not; therefore, pad washing cannot begin or continue.

Please remove and re-insert the dock’s dirty water tank. Then reboot the dock by removing power, and plugging it back in.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact customer care for support.

Error 512: Dirty Water Evacuation Clog

There is a clog that is making it so that the dirty water in the overflow basin cannot be removed/evacuated. Pad washing will not continue until this error is cleared.

Please wipe the Pad Washing and Overflow Basin with a clean, dry cloth. Ensure there are no obstructions in the drainage port. Mild soap and a sponge may be used for stubborn debris.

Visit this article for more details.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact customer care for support.

Error 513: Dirty Water Pump Failure

The pump that sucks the dirty water from the overflow basin into the dirty water tank has had a failure, and so pad washing cannot continue.

Please reboot the dock by unplugging it and plugging it back in again. If this doesn’t help, please contact customer care for support.

Error 515: Basin Gate Failure

The pad wash basin gate controls water removal.

Please reboot the dock by unplugging it and plugging it back in again. If this doesn’t help, please contact customer care for support.

Error 516: Pad Washing Roller Stall

The motor that drives the pad wash roller has stalled. Please remove the pad washing roller and check for any obstructions that may be preventing it from moving.

Then reboot the dock by unplugging it and plugging it back in again.

If there are no obstructions but the error persists, please contact customer care for support.

Error 517: Basin Overflow

Water cannot be removed from overflow basin. There must be a clog somewhere preventing the dock from removing the liquid from this overflow basin.

Please empty the overflow basin using a dry cloth or towel. Clean out both the pad wash and overflow basin.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact customer care for support.

Error 518: Missing Pad Washing Roller

The roller that cleans the pad during pad washing is missing and needs to be placed back in the dock before pad washing can begin.

Please place the pad washing roller back into the dock. If the agitator is already in the dock, please take it out and put it back in.

Please reboot the dock by unplugging it and plugging it back in again. Then try washing the pad again.

If the error persists after troubleshooting, please contact customer care for support.

Error 519: Robot Not on Contacts

The robot has tried to put itself on the contacts multiple times but has not been able to. Error 519 is the same as charging error 21. Please see “Charging Error 21: All Roomba® and Braava® Models” for troubleshooting steps.

Error 650: Clear Water Dock Tank Missing

The clean water tank in the dock (not in the robot) has been removed from the dock. The process of washing the pad requires that clear fluid be available, the same fluid that is used for refilling the tank. Pad washing cannot continue until this error is cleared.

This error should be reported right as the tank is removed from the dock, and cleared when putting it back in the dock.

If the dock does not recognize that the tank is inserted, please follow these troubleshooting steps to clear the error:

  • Place the robot on the dock. The light ring should light up, and the robot will make a noise to indicate a proper connection with the contacts.
  • Look for and remove any obstructions blocking the tank from being fully installed
  • Empty and re-fill the clean water dock tank
  • Reboot the dock by unplugging it and plugging it back in again
  • Try washing the pad again

If the error persists after troubleshooting, please contact customer care for support.

Error 651: Clear Water Tank Level Too Low

The clean water tank does not have enough fluid in it to wash the pad. The tank needs to be refilled for pad washing to occur.

If the tank is empty, please refill and re-insert it. If the tank is already full, please go ahead and empty and refill it anyways.

If the issue persists, please also make sure the robot is docked properly. The light ring should light up, and the robot will make a noise to indicate a proper connection with the contacts.

If the error persists after these troubleshooting steps, please contact customer care for support.

Error 652: Clean Water Dock Tank Level Sensor Issue

The sensor that tracks the fluid level of the clean water tank (not the dirty water tank) is not working correctly, and the dock cannot determine how much fluid is in the tank.

Please follow these troubleshooting steps to clear the error:

  • Ensure the robot is docked properly
  • Empty and refill the clean water dock tank
  • Reinsert the tank, making sure it's all the way in
  • Reboot the dock by unplugging it and plugging it back in again
  • Try washing the pad again

If the error persists after troubleshooting, please contact customer care for support.

Error 653: Dirty Water Dock Tank Missing

The dirty water tank in the dock has been removed. The process of washing the pad requires that the dirty water tank be installed.

This error would be reported right as the tank is removed from the dock and cleared when putting it back in the dock.

Please follow these troubleshooting steps to clear the error:

  • Ensure the robot is docked properly
  • Remove the dirty water tank and see if there are any obstructions that could be blocking the tank from being fully installed
  • Reinstall the empty dirty water tank
  • Reboot the dock by unplugging it and plugging it back in again
  • Try washing the pad again

If the error persists after troubleshooting, please contact customer care for support.

Error 654: Dirty Water Dock Tank Level Too Full

The dock’s dirty water tank is too full to wash the pad. The process of washing the pad requires that the dirty fluid be removed and stored in the dirty water tank. If there is not enough space in the tank to effectively remove the fluid from the basin, then the process cannot begin.

Empty and clean the dirty water tank. Then re-insert the dirty water tank and try again.

Note: Please ensure the robot is docked properly.

If the error persists after troubleshooting, please contact customer care for support.

Error 660: Communication Failure

Error 663: Clear Water Dock Tank Level Decreasing

The clean water tank level is decreasing when it shouldn’t be. This is likely due to a leak in the tank.

Please unplug the dock and inspect it to see if there is actually excess water present.

Remove both water tanks, and flip the dock over to see if any water is coming out of the bottom.

If no fluid is found, try moving the dock to a new location temporarily.

If the dock is leaking water, it likely needs to be replaced. Please contact customer care.

Error 665: Hardware Issue

Pad washing cannot begin because there has been a stall with the pad actuator which moves the pad from the top of the robot to underneath the robot. If the pad cannot be moved into the correct position, then it cannot be washed.

Please visit this article for troubleshooting.

Error 668: No Pad Attached

Pad washing cannot start because there is no pad attached to the robot to wash. A pad being on the robot is a prerequisite to the pad washing behavior:

  1. If there wasn’t a pad, attach one
  2. If there is a pad attached, remove the pad, dry it off, re-attach the pad
  3. Attach a different pad if the first one is still not working

If the error persists after troubleshooting, please contact customer care for support.

Error 669: Pad Actuator Stall

Pad washing cannot begin because there has been a stall with the pad actuator which moves the pad from the top of the robot to underneath the robot. If the pad cannot be moved into the correct position, then it cannot be washed.
