Bin Detection: Roomba Combo i Series and Combo j5/j5+

If your Roomba Combo® i5/i5+ or Combo j5/j5+ is detecting the Combo Bin is installed when the standard Dust Bin is installed, use these steps to return your robot to normal operation.  

 
  • Ensure the robot cleaning head and bin have been cleaned off. To do so, remove the filter from the bin, rinse the bin and bin door with water, and let them air dry. Wipe the Bin Full sensors on the robot with a clean, dry microfiber or soft cotton cloth.  

Remove the brushes and ensure the vacuum path is clear of debris     

Note: Scrub the vacuum path with a magic eraser to clean out any built up dirt or grime that has accumulated.

  • If the error persists, please perform a robot reboot by pressing and holding the CLEAN button for 10 seconds.

Be extra sure to clean the Inner Port Sensors inside of the bin door where the dust has collected

 

Clean Base® Ingested Water

If Roomba has evacuated water into the Clean Base®, it is likely you have not provisioned your wet mopping bin. Please scan the QR code on the bin to set your robot up for mopping.

If there is moisture found in your evacuation bag please discard and insert a new bag. Failure to remove a wet evacuation bag can retain moisture and create an ideal environment for mold and unpleasant odors. Be sure to wipe away any remaining moisture trapped in the base with a clean, dry cloth.

Note: Do not pour any liquids into the device or immerse in water. Do not allow liquids to get on or into the Auto-Fill Dock. Do not use Roomba or the dock outdoors or on wet surfaces.
