Roomba has a sensor to determine when the bin is full. Depending on how quickly the bin fills, you may prefer to modify your robot's cleaning behavior.
The two behavior settings are:
Do not clean when full Your robot will not start any new cleaning jobs and will pause existing ones if it detects its bin is full.
Keep cleaning when full Your robot will start and complete cleaning jobs even when it detects its bin is full.
To change this setting, select Robot Settings > Cleaning Preferences > Bin Full Behavior
Note: If the full bin indicator is illuminated or blinking, it means the bin is full. Roomba cannot continue cleaning until the bin is emptied.
If the indicator light comes on during a cleaning job, the cleaning job can be paused in order to empty the bin before resuming the cleaning job.
Roomba may indicate the bin is full in any of several ways:
The Full Bin Indicator will appear under the CLEAN button, in the iRobot® HOME App.
Roomba e Series the Full Bin Indicator will illuminate on the robot.
Roomba i, s, and j Series will illuminate the Light Ring around the CLEAN button on the robot and sweep back, towards the rear of the CLEAN button, and then flash red.
Light Ring around the Bin Lid, Red sweep toward rear: Empty the bin.
Please empty the bin and clean the full bin sensors and sensor ports thoroughly. If Roomba® continues to indicate the bin is full after you have emptied the bin, it means you have not thoroughly cleaned the bin full sensors and/or the sensor ports.

After you have cleaned all the full bin sensors and ports, it may be necessary to clear the error by rebooting the robot.
