Use the following procedure to ensure your Roomba Combo® 10 Max is ready to mop.

1. Lift the mopping pad plate and slide a mopping pad into the slot

2. Push the bin release button to remove the bin

3. Open the cap on the top of the tank

4. Fill the tank to the top with an approved cleaning solution

5. Close the cap, then shake out any excess solution

6. Slide the tank back into the robot, and then you're done

7. To start a cleaning job, you may press the "New Job +button in the iRobot® HOME App or the CLEAN button on the robot itself

Note: You do not have to dispose of your mopping pad after each mission. The pads for the Roomba Combo® 10 are washable.

Note: The Roomba Combo® 10 Max water tank can hold 170 mL of liquid. If the low liquid amount setting is enabled, the robot could mop up to 1,000 square feet before refilling at the dock.

Auto-Refill

Your auto wash dock will automatically refill your robot’s water tank as needed. When the dock tanks need attention, the dock LED indicators will turn solid red.

Please ensure the clean water tank is full, and the dirty water tank is empty.

1. Use the pull tab to open the door and remove the tanks

2. Lift the larch on the tank to open

3. Fill the Clean Tank with water. Empty the Dirty Tank.

IMPORTANT: Ensure the latch is properly closed on the tank before reinstalling.

4. Place the tanks back in the dock and close the door, making sure it is completely closed.

5. Place your robot on the dock with the camera facing out. If the light ring is swirling white, the robot is not ready and is still booting up.

6. To start a mopping job! If starting a mission from the app, your robot will warn you if there is a reason it cannot mop.

Pad Wash

After cleaning, the dock will wash and dry the mopping pad. The robot will lower the mopping pad and drive back and forth over the Pad Washing Roller. This process will take several minutes.

You can also instruct the robot to clean the pad after visiting specific rooms. This is automatically set during dirt detective jobs and can be manually set in the new job area. This ensures the pad is clean for the next area of the home.

Note: Pad washing will only happen automatically if the full mission ends successfully. If the mission is canceled early, pad washing will not happen automatically. You can still trigger the pad-washing action in the app.

IMPORTANT: Do not interrupt the robot while Pad Washing is active. It is normal to hear noises throughout this process as the dock spins the Pad Washing Roller and fills/drains the Pad Washing Basin.

Once complete, the dock will proceed to dry the mopping pad by blowing air.

The drying process will last for a few hours. While the dryer is active, you may hear a low hum coming from the dock. After pad dying is complete, the option for "pad and dock control" will temporarily disappear, and you will only see the option to empty the bin. You must undock and redock the robot, or run a mission in order for the pad and dock control to reappear. Visit the iRobot® HOME App to start or stop Pad Washing and Drying manually, or to customize pad washing settings.

Note: You cannot dry a pad without washing the pad in the dock.

Cleaning the mopping pad

You can also clean your mopping pads by hand or machine washing manually.

Hand Washing: Thoroughly wash the pad with warm water.
Machine Washing: Wash using the warm cycle, then air dry. Do not put it in the dryer. Do not wash the pad with delicates.
