Your Wi-Fi connected robot comes with a default language pack for the robot's spoken messages. Each language pack varies by region.
Change Language Using the App:
To access the “Robot Language” screen of the app, select
Settings ➔ Robot Language. Choose either from your robots Installed Languages or select from the
Additional Languages.
If you cannot select Robot Language, it means that your mobile device is not on the same network as the robot or it's not connected to the internet. Ensure that your mobile device is on the same network as the one that your robot is connected to.
Change Language Using the Robot:
- Take Roomba off of the Home Base® and turn Roomba off by pressing CLEAN (single button for j series) for about two (2) seconds.
- Press and hold CLEAN (single button for j series) for about four (4) seconds until Roomba turns on and speaks in the current language.
- Release CLEAN (single button for j series). Roomba will now be in Language Selection mode.
- Press CLEAN (single button for j series) repeatedly until you hear the language you want.
- Press and hold CLEAN (single button for j series) to turn off the robot and confirm your language choice.
Note:
- A factory reset will return the robot's languages to the default pack. You might have to re-download languages that are not listed in the default pack.
- Languages can only be changed when your robot is on your local Wi-Fi network.
- Beginning with App Version 7.1, you will be able to choose a male speaking voice for your robot
