Error two (2) means the Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes cannot turn. "Clean the brushes, then press clean"
Note: If the rollers are brand new and give an error 2 immediately after installing them, please run a few more missions to loosen up the brushes, and the error should go away on it's own.
Note: Thick carpet or high-pile rugs can potentially slow Roomba's brushes down too much, preventing them from spinning and resulting in an error 2. If you notice your robot says error 2 while on carpet, please also test Roomba on a hard floor to see if the issue persists.
Determining the source of the error:
1. Remove the brushes: Open the Cleaning Head Module door by pushing on the green tab on the right side of the Multi-Surface Rubber Brushes and remove them from the robot
2. Test the robot without the bushes installed: Leave the brushes out and close the Cleaning Head Module door. Turn the robot over, place it on a flat surface, and press the button.
3. Does the robot still encounter an Error 2?
If no – Error 2 clears, and the robot runs:
Please inspect the brushes and remove any hair or debris, especially under the end caps. See Brush Care Procedures for help
Reinstall the brushes and re-test the robot: Turn the robot over, place it on a flat surface, and press the CLEAN button.
If the robot continues to run without the error, please clean the brushes regularly, at least once per week
