This little brush does some heavy lifting—pulling dirt from the edges of your walls and deep in those tricky corners. A regular cleaning keeps it running at its best.

  • We recommend cleaning the edge sweeping brush at once a week or as needed.
  • We recommend replacing the Edge sweeping brush every 3 months, or as needed.

Note:

  • The Side brush of your robot vacuum may vary depending on your iRobot model. But the side brush replacement procedure will be the same for all series.
  • Limited Warranty does not apply to accessories or other consumable items, iRobot Limited Warranty.

There are two easy ways to confirm whether you can replace the side brush module or if we should send the robot for repair instead.

  1. Check the Serial Number. If the eight-digit is the letter N or Z, the robot is not modular. Example: i557020NYYMMDDN4##### or i557020ZYYMMDDN4#####. If it's any other letter, the module can be replaced.
  2. Flip the robot over and look for a battery door. If your robot has a battery door, then the bottom cover does not come off, and the side brush module cannot be replaced. In this case, please contact iRobot Customer Care, to set up a repair.

If the robot has an original bottom cover with the 5 screws and no battery door, then the side brush module can be replaced.
