Charging Error 9: All Roomba® and Braava® Models

Charging Error nine (9) indicates a permanent battery fault. Remove the battery from the robot for at least 15 minutes, and replace it. If the error persists, the battery may need to be replaced.

Note: Confirm that you are using an authentic iRobot® Lithium-Ion battery. Unknown charging errors can occur with aftermarket purchased batteries.

If the message persists, contact iRobot Customer Care.

For expedited service, please have the following ready: 
    • Your robot charged and with you. 
    • Your robot's Serial Number
    • For warranty claims: Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice for purchase from an authorized retailer).
