Battery Level Indicator in the iRobot Home App.

« Volver
Article Details

The battery level indicator in the iRobot HOME App will let you know when the battery is fully charged on the base and if the battery needs to be charged.

The indicator is located on top of the CLEAN button on the screen and appears as a battery icon.

The Battery Indicator is not reaching full when charging

If the robot has been on the base for an extended period and should be fully charged, but the battery level indicator is not full, please confirm the following:

  1. You are connected to your local network.
    • When on a remote connection the battery indicator may not fully update when the robot is charging. It is best to confirm the battery percentage when you are viewing the app while connected to your local network.
  2. The robot is on the Home Base properly
    • If the charging contacts on the robot are not making contact to the charging contacts on the Home Base, this can result in the battery not charging causing the indicator to remain at the same level or possibly drop.
  3. The charging contacts are free of debris
    • At times debris build-up on the charging contacts can occur. To remove debris, use a lightly dampened pad of melamine foam, such as a magic eraser, to wipe away debris, then wipe the contacts down with a dry cloth. Place the robot back on the Home Base to confirm it is charging properly.

The battery indictor updates intermittently. If you are not seeing the robot reach a full charge and are connected to your local network, please wait 15 minutes then re-open the app.

If problem persists, please contact iRobot Customer Care.

For expedited service, please have the following ready:

  • Your robot charged and with you.
